Peaks And Valleys

Focal Scripture : Jeremiah 29:11-13

The Journey we take in the Lord is one of peaks and valleys. It is during the valleys that we tend to cry out to the Lord the most. Bout how or better what is our motivations in the cry. In most cases we are crying out for escape from the valley season. We are not seeking Him. Why because our focus in the Valley season is on the pain and difficulty of that season and the great desire for the ending of it. It is during this season that if we are to turn the eyes of our soul upward instead of inward, then we would be able to see the Lord's plan for us which is His expected end. The Hebrew meaning of "His expected end" is to bring the Lord's Heart (expectations) into existence.

When our heart is positioned in the right way, knowing that the heart of the Father is always for our good, then our posture in the valley seasons will be one of pursuing the Fathers Heart with our whole heart. To pursue His heart completely is to do so without reservation or forethought. It is during these seasons that we learn ultimately who we are and how intimately the Father wants us in relationship. It is in this intimacy that we also learn the true meaning of the Father's Love. For if we seek in love for His Heart and not our own, He will unveil the Vision of Our Heart to See the Glory of the Lord. In the Glory He turns us from the captivity of the valley and gathers us up into the Peaks of Joy, Peace and Love that is only found when we truly know the Father's Expectations for us through every situation of Life.

Selah....

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
